BIO
Nikki LaShae is a dynamic, multi-hyphenate actress of Irish, Choctaw, and Nigerian descent, hailing from Jackson, Mississippi. Known for her emotional depth, fearless range, and commanding on-screen presence, Nikki is currently portraying the complex and unpredictable Raven in the hit BET series Haus of Vicious.
Born to an NFL athlete father and a visual artist mother, Nikki’s artistic journey began early. She became a published poet at age 7 and a classically trained musician by 17, having mastering piano, guitar, and clarinet. Her early exposure to the arts laid the foundation for a career that now spans television, film, theatre, and advocacy. She cut her teeth on large studio sets like The Three Stooges, Scary Movie 5, and The Identical, quickly proving her versatility and professionalism.
Nikki’s ability to breathe life into both dramatic and comedic roles has led to standout performances in independent cinema and television. She earned critical acclaim for her nuanced portrayals in Traffickers and Generations, and brought audiences to laughter as Syreeta on BET’s Bigger and Keturah in the award-winning film Le Vie Magnifique de Charlie. Her work continues to garner accolades, including Best Actress nominations and features in “Ones to Watch” lists across the industry.
On stage, Nikki’s portrayal of Beneatha in A Raisin in the Sun affirmed her strength as a classically trained actress. She has also performed for former President Jimmy Carter and was selected to host the Jackson, MS screening of Till -a deeply personal and historic event in her home state.
In addition to her work in entertainment, Nikki is a passionate advocate and founder of The Love Effect, a love-driven initiative committed to empowering women and underrepresented communities. She is the founder of H. Pearl Creative, a storyhouse focused on impact filmmaking.
